ALL Vega products are of exceptional quality. I lift to shred and tone (I am a female in my min twenties), and the protein powders and nutritional shakes have been a huge part of achieving my goals by fueling my body with complete, clean nutrition. The flavors are not over powering and not chalky or fake tasting. Great to use in homemade protein pancakes and other baked goods.

I'm actually not vegan but switched to this protein for digestive reasons. It is easy on my tummy. Flavor is not that great but I'd rather sacrifice some taste for smooth digestion.

I stopped using whey protein a few months ago because of the growing bad press surrounding it so I've been looking around for a good tasting and complete vegan protein. I was hoping Vega protein's taste would make up for the high price but it didnt quite do it.... Christ, what's so difficult about getting plant protein to taste good?!?

I've tried several vegan protein powders, and this one is by far the easiest to drink.

This is a great, great product but value for money is completely out the window - as is the case with almost all of the Vega products. The only thing I think is still worth buying is the pre-workout energizer because that actually lasts longer than 2 weeks. $52 worth of protein powder that lasts me about 2 weeks is just crazyness. I switched to S.A.N. rawfusion and have fallen in love with it. Same great product but for a reasonable price. Too bad because I love the Vega Sport products, but although I earn good money and can afford it, I just think it's not worth paying over $100 for protein powders alone every month.

I became vegan over a year ago and after several disastrous attempts with basic vegan protein powders (hemp, pea, soy) -- the texture of all of them was gritty, and the taste was so overwhelmingly bad that no amount of added flavorings could mask it -- I had given up on finding a good protein powder. I'd always resisted trying Vega due to the price... but now that I've tried the vanilla, I've decided it's worth the cost. The flavor isn't as delicious as my past experiences with whey proteins, so I don't mix it directly with almond or soy milk and drink it straight; mixed into a smoothie, however, it is absolutely delicious and the texture blends perfectly.

I love Vega protein. I eat gluten free and I am Pescetarian (Vegetarian that eats fish). The 'old' Vega formula was chunky and didn't mix well and the taste was ok, not great. That has all changed when they re-branded the product and tweaked the recipe. Now it mixes great and tastes fantastic. I am speaking mostly of the chocolate and vanilla. I'm not a chi latte fan. The fruit one flavour is pretty good too. So it's Vegetarian and Vegan, gluten free, contains no soy or dairy(hence vegan but I thought I'd mention it anyway). It also digests very easily I find and doesn't make me gassy like some whey products. It also contains 18 different amino acids(according to the label, I didn't test it in a lab so don't write me angry messages disputing it. Take it up with Vega.) The only down side is the price. Overall, it's fantastic.

This is a great product. However I was just reading the label on a can I bought a few weeks ago and it no longer lists Hemp. Its unfortunate if they have removed this relatively high quality and expensive ingredient without reducing the price or making the consumer aware it was reformulated. Bodybuilding.com, please update your product information as you have a lot of copy that says it contains hemp which apparently it no longer does.

It was green in color... it was a quick gulp quite nasty actually. I tried it only once.

It's pretty pricy but I really like it. I am a lacto ovo vegetarian so I had been using whey protein - I switched from whey to Vega and I feel better. Tastes great, mixes really easily and doesn't leave a funky smell in my shaker cup. Another plus is the scoop is always on top! No digging for the scoop!

Taste was average, I've definitely had better. Mixability was awful, the powder clumped up and hardly mixed, I even had a blender ball to assist and that didn't even help. I had to pour into my blender to mix it up. I've never had that problem before with other proteins. Overall, I would not try again, it was decently priced at Sprouts for a sample one serving pouch.

THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS! After a few uses I was VIOLENTLY ill. The product contains saviseed which to some people creates a violent allergy which includes, sweats, chills, extreme vomiting and diarrhea. Never felt worse in my life. A few hours after my first time drinking it I felt pretty nauseous, thought maybe I worked out too hard, the second time I was on the floor calling my husband to come home because I thought I needed to go to the hospital. No question that it was the Vega. Don't believe me? Google it, you'll find hundreds of people with the same experience. They need to put a warning label on the package, its just a mater of time before someone gets seriously hurt. Never, never, never again would I support this product.

Great alternative to whey protein. Solid amount of protein per scoop and great tasting. Does not mix as well as ON whey but not a deal breaker. Highly recommend, pricey but worth it!

This is the only protein powder I use, the reasons for that is because I am vegan and it is a great source of rich plant based protein. It mixes better then any other shake I have used, and taste amazing.

I tried Vega Protein for the first time this past Saturday after the gym. I wanted to try a protein that was plant based. The taste is ok, but not great. I thought everything was going well until a few hours in I started feeling nauseous. My stomach was grumbling and I started having hot flashes and chills. I the spent the next 12 hours in the bathroom(I will spare the details). I got very little sleep that night. I woke the next day having the same nausea, chills and hot flashes, but now with a splitting headache, and dizziness. I spent my entire day in bed except for a few more trips to the bathroom. After 36 hours I am able to keep food down, but I still don't feel great. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any protein powder. I would suggest never buying this product. I wouldn't want anyone going through the same thing that I've gone through the past 48 hours.

Having an allergy to gluten and lactose, I have tried more dairy free proteins than Is like to say. The biggest downfalls that I came across were chalkey texture, bad flavor and level of sweetness being off. This protein is by far the best I have tasted. It mixes well with water, the vanilla flavor is very tasty and its not overly sweet. The grams of pretein is the highest that I have come across in a vegan protein. I highly recomend this protein to anyone looking for a clean lactose/gluten free protein!

This is a pretty good product, epsecially for those who are vegetarian. It helped my recovery but for the taste though, I think it could be the worst thing that i've ate in my entire life !

This is an excellent soy, gluten and lactose free protein that doesn't taste like something I got out of the compost pile. I have an extremely sensitive stomach and this has been the answer to my long search for a plant based protein that doesn't compromise on ingredients or taste. Don't expect a decadent cake or frosting flavor, this is as-advertised; straight, plain vanilla. The initial texture can be unnerving, but I promise even the most squeamish will find a ratio of liquid to protein they find palatable. I add this protein to my smoothies (beware of clumps) with great results. Be sure to shake well, even with an agitator (or blender) there can be quite a bit of sediment if you don't consume your protein in one long gulp.
